OHED forthcoming capacity building programs on tailoring and computing in the South Kivu Province in 2018

From March to December 2018, OHED members are leading two tailoring programs respectively in Uvira and Bukavu towns. The leading committee will be sending two trainers and two new trained staff members (including three ladies) to the new tailoring small centers of Bukavu and Uvira in order to build the capacity of the newly recruited volunteers and help them move ahead and develop their knowledge and sense of hope in their self-reliance activities. At present, the participants are benefitting knowledge on computing programs and getting certificates witnessing their participations in the created centers.

The mission of OHED is to alleviate poverty, famine, diseases, illiteracy, and their related consequences in the South Kivu Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). We do so through our framework of 56 village committees that enable OHED’s more than 500 full members and more than 3,000 volunteers to help each other through exchange, support, listening, and awareness of each other’s concerns.
